Agri-Food Pilot

What is the Agri-Food Pilot?
 

The Agri-Food Pilot allows experienced, non-seasonal workers with specific occupations to apply for permanent residence. This program helps address the labour needs of the Canadian agri-food sector in specific industries. IRCC is accepting applications under this program until May 14, 2024.

  • Work Experience

    • One year (and at least 1560 hours) of full-time, non-seasonal Canadian work experience* within the last 3 years

  • Job Offer

    • A full-time, non-seasonal job offer from a Canadian employer in one of the eligible industries* and occupations

  • Language​​​

    • Meet or exceed the language requirements of CLB Level 4 in reading, writing, speaking and listening.​

  • Education

    • A Canadian high school diploma, or

    • An educational credential assessment (ECA) report from a designated organization or professional body showing that you completed a foreign credential at the secondary school level or above

  • Applicants outside of Canada must prove they have sufficient settlement funds 

  • Applicants in Canada must maintain valid temporary resident status

  • As of February 10, 2024, applicants who reside in Canada may choose to meet either the job offer requirement or the education requirement.

  • Meat product manufacturing (NAICS 3116)

    • ​NOC 63201, 65202, 94141, 82030, 84120, 85100, 95106

​

  • Greenhouse, nursery and floriculture production, including mushroom production (NAICS 1114)

    • ​NOC 82030, 84120, 85100, 85101​

​

  • Animal production, excluding aquaculture - NAICS 1121, 1122, 1123, 1124 and 1129​​

    • ​NOC 82030, 84120, 85100, 85101​
