Corriente no agrícola

Express Entry

Hire a skilled foreign worker to support them through their permanent residence application.

Advertising Requirement:

28 days continuous in  90 days prior to submission of application

Job Offer must meet the criteria of one of the following programs:

  • Federal Skilled Worker Program

  • Federal Skilled Trades Program

  • Canadian Experience Class

Prevailing Wage: median wage specific to occupation

Government Processing Fee: Does not apply to employers only choosing to support a foreign workers permanent resident application

Low Wage

Up to 2-Year contract. Employer’s percentage of foreign workers must be less than 10%. Some exemptions apply

 

Advertising Requirement:

28 days continuous in 90 days prior to submission of application

Open to any occupation

Prevailing Wage: Median Wage Rate Below $26.44/hr

Government Processing Fee: $1000.00 per worker

2-Year contract. Transition plan required – transition worker to Permanent Residence or transfer position to a Canadian or Permanent Resident

Advertising Requirement:

28 days continuous in  90 days prior to submission of application

Open to any occupation

Prevailing Wage: Median Wage Rate $25.00/hr or above

Government Processing Fee: $1000.00 per worker

High Wage

Families can hire a foreign caregiver to provide care, in a private residence, to children, seniors or persons with certified medical needs, when Canadians and permanent residents are not available.

 

However, the caregivers must:

  • provide care on a full-time basis (minimum 30 hours per week)

  • work in the private household where the care is being provided

  • meet the requirements set Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC)/Service Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)

 

These families or private household employers will be able to hire foreign workers, on a live-in or live out basis, for the following two categories:

 

Caregivers for children under the age of 18 years as a child care provider, nanny (NOC 44100)

 

Caregivers for people with high medical needs who are 65 years of age or over or people with disabilities, a chronic or terminal illness.  Positions could include:

· Registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse (NOC 31301)

·  Licensed practical nurse (NOC 32101)

·  Attendant for persons with disabilities, home support worker, live-in caregiver, personal care  attendant (NOC 44101)

 

Advertising Requirement:

28 days continuous in the 90 days prior to the submission of the application

 

Prevailing Wage: Median Wage for the occupation in the employment location as set out by the Federal Job bank.
